Will this impact each one of us?

Well if AIB can absorb an €860 million loss in the John Rusnak affair without impacting my mortgage rate (as far as I could tell at the time) I'd hope €30 million is small change to them.

Presumably they will get a large chunk of the €30m back after legal wrangling.

In fact, as more details of this case emerge, it would appear that there's a portfolio of 105 properties including a home worth over €5M so I'd say there's a reasonable chance that there may be no losses once these are liquidated. But I'm only speculating based on what's in the media.
