Will Job Seekers Benefit and Back to Education be cut shortly?

Hi,

I'm currently on Job Seekers Benefit until I return to college in September and get moved on to Back to Education Allowance for the duration of the college year. At the moment both rates are €188 weekly.

There has been a lot of talk in the media lately about cuts to the social welfare system. So I've been trying to budget for the upcoming college year on the worst case basis. How much do you think the €188 will be cut by and when do you think these cuts will be implemented.
