I have annual car hire excess insurance covering damage to cars I rent abroad. I have never needed to use till now.
I am preparing the claim but wondered if this will affect my normal motor insurance. And if so, if it would be better not to claim at all.
There is a question when I renew my normal motor insurance annually, asking if I have made a claim in last x years. Does anyone know if that refers only to insurance on the car I own?
