Widow's Pension Eligibility

My father has recently passed away before retirement.
He worked in the public service and had approx 30 years service.
He would have paid Class D1 PRSI during this time.

Prior to joining the public sector he worked in the private sector for approx 5 years paying Class A PRSI.
At the moment I'm unsure whether he has more or less than 260 Class A contributions.

My mother was also a public servant for more than 30 years also paying class D PRSI and has just recently retired and is in receipt of a public sector pension.

My father was a member of the spouse and children's scheme and I know my mother is entitled to a Spouse's pension of half of what my Dad's pension would of been had he worked until retirement and a death gratuity will be payable to the estate.

Is my mother also entitled to a Contributory Widow's pension?
Having looked at Citizens Information it seems she satisfies the criteria however I'm not sure if Class D PRSI contributions are counted differently when determining eligibility.
