Widow/er's Pension - payment day

Can anyone tell me what day widow/er's pension is normally paid? Is it the same for everyone or does it vary?

I can only find dates for the Christmas period online.

It goes into my mother's bank account every Friday morning.

Late Thursday evening or early Friday morning.
Fridays are a busy day in Post offices with pensioners.
Although you can leave it a couple of weeks and collect in one go too.

Friday is the payment day for all Widow\Widower pensions, whether paid at the post office or into a bank account.

It doesn't have to be collected from a post office on the day (could be collected on Saturdays if the PO is quieter).

Welfare payments are made weekly on Friday. Full stop.

@ClubMan Lots of info on payment methods, entitlements, etc., but nowhere does it say payment is made on Friday.

If you can prove me wrong, copy and paste the exact sentence here!
