Why did rabo funds fall in value in May/June 2006?

I don't recall a big stock market drop at the time and I don't think my QL funds dropped, yet many of the Rabo funds I've looked at seemed to. Any ideas why?

Equity markets generally fell over the period May/June. Falls ranged from 5% to 10% depending on markets. But since them markets have more than recovered. So if you were invested in Ewquity funds you should have seen a fall in value over that period.

Lots of possible reasons. The QL and Rabo funds that you are looking at may have been tracking or invested in very different assets. Even if they were in exactly the same assets the active management of Rabo funds might yield different results to the index tracking approach of QL.
