I am looking into setting up an account with a broker for the first time (most likely I will use DeGiro). I'll be investing i.e. long term buy & hold rather than short-term trading and the account will be joint with my wife. But I have to nominate a Bank Account as part of the set up process. I am assuming I should keep an investing account separate from my day-to-day current account for revenue reporting purposes. But is this just a normal current account?
Can anyone make bank account recommendations? With most banks charging current account fees these days, I'm just wondering which current accounts people use as their broker investing account?
