I used to live in Aus. I have been doing some work for an old employer, he has been paying into an Aus account I still have there.
In which country do I declare the income.
If I declare here does it have to be listed as foreign income or can I set up as self employed and list it under that.

Or do I used my Aus tax number and declare it in Aus.

Also regarding prsi what’s the best option?

Basically you should pay tax in whatever country you are resident in. Its just income it doesnt really matter where its from. Dont imagine revenue care as long as you "want" to pay tax on it

You certainly need to declare it here in Ireland and you may also have to declare it in Australia. The Double Taxation treaty between Ireland and Australia will determine how much tax, if any, is due in Australia. You will get credit for any Australian tax paid which will be used to reduce your tax due in Ireland. It should be declared under Foreign income
