The Seat is a 1.4 litre and the Clio was 1.1 litre. As a 25 year old first time driver male, then there could be a significant difference.

The Clio is 1,130 to insure with Quinn.. The Ibiza is 1,396 with same, I expected it to be more expensive, so I am happy enough to pay that.

probably best to stay awway from the pre-VW Skoda's and Seats. we have a Clio and Megane. No trouble with either. Main dealer servicing is not cheap, but they do a great job.
