where to save?

Im looking into opening a savings account as I currently save my money in my current account??!! There are so many options out there i have no idea where to even start looking! Im looking for two types of savings accounts, one for the long term where i can lodge a small amount every two weeks and forget about it and the second is for the short term for saving for house deposit, car expenses etc.. Any advice please?
