This is a question that I'm sure I saw answered elsewhere here before but can't find now. Where are medical expenses supposed to be included in a Form 11 submission? Completing the form on behalf of a parent, there's no access to My Account so it's all through ROS.

According to the revenue guide for form 11 2022 here, it's on page 29 of 44.
Thanks, I couldn't for the life of me find it in the online version but I hope the sequencing of the sections is the same as the PDF version (no reason it shouldn't be!).

What if you have already claimed a tax credit for the health expense online?
Does it still have to go into form 11 ?
How does Revenue know its not an additional health expense you are claiming?

I suspect that you should add it to the medical expenses and include the credit you got in the line underneath for deductions (money already received).

Include it in the tax return. If you don't, revenue will assume that you're saying that you shouldn't have claimed it during the year.

I might be confused, but I don't think it's possible to claim tax relief in real time if you are self assessed, so the situation shouldn't arise if you are completing a Form 11?
