Where to buy in Dublin (and Surrounding)?

You should get a 2/3 bed in Swords for €350,000. Given the go-ahead for the second terminal yesterday it should be very let-able or saleable in 3/4 years with all the extra jobs being created (plus the Metro link once it arrives).

Would strongly agree (have to admit being biased as I'm originally from the area) but would recommend buying east of the main St as the Metro would be a significant distance away from the western side of the town (Rivervalley/Brackenstown). There are some gorgeous houses popping up around that side of the town (particularly around Seatown) anyway - most of which will be within a 10 min walk of the Metro.

Otherwise would recommend Tallaght (very good local infrastructure).

We're in Lusk for 3 years now and love it. I work closeby Tara St station and the door-to-door communte is 45 min on the train. I just came out from town tonight (9pm Saturday night) from merrion sq, in 25 min; (without setting any land-speed records!).

Its worth a thought.

My son bought in Park West last year for just over 300k. Lovely spacious 2 bed apartment. He is very happy.
