What's your investment strategy

Hi All,
More of a general topic on investing then a specific Q?

I was wonder do most people hold a well diversified portfolio of stocks and let that appreciate over the LT or do you target specific stocks and sell when you reach a target gain?

I currently hold some quinn freeways and some diversified etf's but am looking into options. Does anyone use options?
