I am an I.T. professional and would like to teack basic computer skills on a one to one basis, does any one no of any training qualification i mite need!

Not to be facetious, the first thing might be basic spelling! Unless you have some qualifications in a specific area (Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Products, Internet Usage, Communications...) I for one would not be interested in a 121 training course. I know that a lot of stuff is learned through experience, but generally the best experience is gained through a combination of formal training, leading to qualifications, and hands-on experience. Training, even on a 121 basis, is only successful when the trainer has very good knowledge of the topic and can impart that to a trainee. What sort of specific training were you thinking of - IT is a wide sphere with a variety of interest areas?

A qualification which is widely advertised for persons with experience who wish to become IT trainers is the JEB Diploma.

No experience of it myself, few of my colleagues have it, they train Microsoft packages (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills (internet, email, etc).

Thanks for the reply gipiman I will look into it.
