what is the story with a Leap Year Day in relation to working hours/ salary?

Hi,

Maybe this will sound a little petty but I'm just wondering what the story is with a Leap Year in relation to working hours/ salary? I suppose I'm asking more out of interest but I quess a part of me whats to make sure I don't have to give any more of my precious energy to my employer than I already am!

Technically I am working an extra day in 2008, am I not? That's worth a couple of hundred euro!

Hi Havana,

Are you hourly paid or are you on an annual salary? If its the former you get paid for any extra hours worked, if its the latter you dont.

I dont understand Brendan's point about sick leave. Not all employees are even on a sick leave scheme.

Not really sure what the point of this is? What if I said none, but if I had yes I would be paid for them- as outlined in my contract.
