I would like to know what income can be included in the SCSB 3 year average annual remuneration calculation.
On my P60's there are two definitions of income. One is Gross pay less contributions and the second is pay for USC purposes (which is much higher).
The second includes Gross pay, bonus , Car allowance, Health insurance, RSU notional income.
Is there a revenue definition of what can be included .

Whatever income taxable under PAYE is included. So the second figure

Not sure I understand . The second is pay for USC purposes and the first is gross pay less deductions (like pension ) so is pay subject to PAYE. So are you saying it is the first .

Conan is correct.

You include everything...salary, bonus, car allowance, share options exercised, health insurance, etc.

If you take unpaid maternity and parental leave during the last 3 years of employment, can you go further back to when you were on full pay or are you penalized for having children when it comes to calculating your average earnings over the last 3 years? Obviously I’m asking this for SCSB redundancy reasons. Any words of advice are much appreciated guys
