What best to do with 20 grand

I have 20,000 from my SSIA. I have the cheque and I really dont know what to do with it. I would like to put it into an account where it will make money. I dont really need to touch it for a few years and maybe even longer, so does anyone have any advice for me?
 
do a search through previous threads - options are high interest account or something like Quinn freeway funds if you don't need it for five or so years
 
Stick it in a high rate deposit account while you're making up your mind anyway. See the Financial Best Buys forum for details of same.
