Welfare and College fees

I can see where people are coming from but, if the course wasn't paid for she wouldn't do it and would be dependent on social welfare payments forever. At least, this way, she is upskilling and has a better chance of getting a job in the future.


There is something very interesting in this.

I wonder if this is because she didnt have the means, or she is just taking it because its free?

If it wasnt free and she won money on a lottery ticket - would she use the money to do the course?

Im just interested to know the priority here, is it just thats its free and thats great - something to do, a chance to upskill etc.., or is it that the course would be done someway, and that it happens to be free is just a bonus given the lack of income.
