I'm new to actual 'hands on' plumbing and I've recently installed a new
1.4 bar shower pump. all seems fine but I'm pulling my hair out :mad:trying
to stop some weeping where the male threaded part of the fitting meets
the female part of the shut-off valve as shown in the below link.
I firstly tried without any material to seal the joint using only elbow grease
which weeped, then I tried PTFE tape with no luck... it still weeped, I now
have the joints wrapped in Hemp & some copper joint cement, I'm going to
let water into the system this evening to check for weeping, if this weeps
what next???? I saw some white cement in B&Q, this maybe?
