Web Player(s) Questions

Hi

Stupid question most likely, but here goes ...

When trying to watch certain broadcasts on the web (through DIB Web Player amongst others), the broadcast is working, sound is fine but image is blocked - with just a green screen instead.

Can anyone please advice me on how to fix this ?

You're probably missing the correct codecs for the player you are using. Download VLC media player and it will play fine on this. VLC will play anything.

Digital Internet Broadcasting.
Some type of streaming media player.

I've never actually seen the player myself.

Just select a mirror near your location (country) like France or Germany.

Thanks for that, now installed ... is there a setting I need to change, to make this my default or something ? (as it stands, it has not solved my initial problem I'm afraid )

No. When you installed it, it should have automatically become your default player.

If you still can't play the broadcast afterdownloading VLC then I can't help you any more!! VLC has 99% of the codecs you need so best of luck finding the one you want!!

VLC is a fantastic bit of software. I use it on both Windows and Linux and simply love it!

No. When you installed it, it should have automatically become your default player.

If DIB was uninstalled it might autoatically load VLC and recognize it as the player.
