i'm all for keeping the dislike button. too often i see on other platforms (like boards, instagram, twitter) where its been removed that absolute nonsense (or scam links) can be heavily upvoted( by bots and others) so that some posts can seem correct....even when anybody with an ounce of sense can see they aren't.
I don't think bots and scam links are an issue on AAM thankfully, combination of lower profile site versus twitter etc and vigilant mods.
I'd prefer them dealt with that way than rely on community downvoting.

I would have thought that the like button was important to those that use the forum as those 'likes' are reflected in the reaction scores (on profiles), so users can see who other posters consider as being regularly helpful in their replies/contributions.
