DLRathdown said water back on between 5 and 8 - is it ok to use loads of water then - dishwasher, showers etc then or is there any reason to limit it? Thanks

If everyone uses loads then it will prolong the period outages will be in effect for. Use what you need, conserve where practical.

Of course, I just meant dishwasher and showers really nothing drastic, thanks :)

From DLRathdown site now "All homes will have 24 hour storage in their overhead tanks. Please do not store water in anticipation of any disruption as you will have adequate supply in your tank. " http://www.dlrcoco.ie/

Find this hard to believe, surely 24 hours of showers, flushing loos etc would empty the tank causing potential airlocks in taps? Theres nothing coming out of my kitchen tap now so obviously I don't have adequate supply.

Anyone know? I grew up vising a holiday house and having to suck pipes to get airlocks out and it was no fun!

It'll depend on the number of people in the house. I had no water on Christmas Day and St Stephen's Day and my attic tank emptied by 2/3 over that time (only me in the house, so no major demand on shower & loo and I didn't run a washing machine!).
