Water stains on stainless Steel hob

I'd be grateful for any tips on how to clean potato water stains from a stainless steel hob.

Spuds boiled over, I didn't wipe up until after dinner and now there are marks on the hob.

Spray a small drop of WD40 onto kitchen paper towel and polish the hob, I always found WD40 did wonders for stainless steel.

Try washing the hob with warm soapy water - its just starch.

WD40 may produce unwanted effects in a hot kitchen environment.

Yes baby oil or any mineral oil works great on stainless steel, tip given to me by staff at DID Electrical (no association)

Yep. I've heard baby oil is used in many commercial kitchens in preferance to more expensive proprietary products.
