We had problem with leaking roof... fixed now but there are water stains on a wall in our kitchen. I painted over them but they've come through again.... Anyone recommend a stain block to prevent this happening again.

I take it you have emulsioned over it and not actual paint, If so try ordinary white paint first and then two coats of emulsion. or if that doesn't work try this [broken link removed]

di74,only stuff for the job is zinnzer b.i.n. primer you will get it in most paint shops, you will need too get a throw away brush with it as you cant clean it afterwards.be carefull aplying it as not too get it on anything else.its very diffucult too remove.but its fantastic stuff its also for covering over smoke damage, lipstick permanent marker, mould etc.i have used it for years too cover water stains..

I've used this before and I found it very good to use

It only takes ten minutes to dry.

Have to agree with jab 1 Zinsser is the man for the job, have used it several times and always been a good job.
