Water Logged Lawn

I'm looking for some advice on draining a lawn. My rear garden has always been wet, with very poor drainage - most especially in the winter when it's practically impossible to walk on. This has been made worse recently after installing a new patio - the diggers used compacted the soil so much, that now there are puddles of water on top of the grass.

Has anyone had experience of getting drainage channels in a lawn and any idea of cost? My garden is about 15m x 35m.

try http://www.pavingexpert.com/ - there's loads of stuff there..otherwise, it might be worth your while to get a landscape engineer in..if you can find one at this time of year!//daithi
