Was my GP negligent?

I have suffered pain in my ankles/heels/feet for years and was prescribed painkillers. Recently the GP doctor decided to examine my feet and said he felt there were fallen arches and advised me to get a pair of shoes with a more pronounced heel than i usually wore.

This did not work and on further examination he found muscles in my feet calf and tibia area sore. Now he is sending me to a physiotherapist with a recommendation I be given special insoles to lift the arch - as far as i understand-

Was he negligent in not examining my feet before even though i complained countless times about pain in my ankles and heels and legs? If so can I take an action? If so can he refuse to be my doctor after i take the action?

Thanks

I don't really think your train of thought is appropriate. Why should you be entitled to receive compensation? Surely it's far more important to resolve your medical issue before screaming for InjuryLawyers4U or whatever you feel you are entitled to.
