Recently I have been made redundant and had a small balance on my credit card. It just dawned on me that I have PPI cover and I decided to claim. When I spoke to the bank (BoI) they directed me to the another company that deal with PPI claims. During my conversations I got a very negative tone from the consultant about the likely hood of my claim be successful, despite me thinking I would fit the bill on all accounts.
Following the conversation I decided to research PPI and discovered there are many claims against banks for mis selling of PPI. When I got my credit card 5 years ago I was told by customer care that it was a requirement of the card that I take out PPI (because it was a Platinum card). My research tells me that PPI is voluntary cover and its likely I was mis sold the cover.
My question what should I do now, continue with claim, request a full refund of PPI payment?
