Voluntary Strike Off

I want to dissolve an LTD I established 10 months ago, the company has never traded and I am going to use CORE to do it.

I just have two quick questions

The filling is asking me for "Resolution Text" and I'm not entirely sure what information I need to give.

Secondly, the advertisement. If anyone knows how much it will cost or even what paper is the cheapest option I'd love to know. I'm also not entirely sure of the content of the advertisement for it to be valid.

Any help is appreciated,
Thank you and have a great new year.

Seems like a strange thread in the context of this previous one three months ago?

This is the wording of the special resolution that was passed when your company's directors when they agreed to apply for voluntary strike-off. See section 731 of the Companies Act 2014.

If you do a Google search for the pdf version of H15 on the CRO site, they include the text required for the advertisement.

Overall you might find it much easier and not much more expensive to use an accountant that specialises in this.
Last time I was involved, ads went in the Daily Star or Daily Mail. If you go directly it could cost upwards of 175+ VAT, whereas the accountancy firms just put in a list of them and buy the ads cheaper, and will do it properly.

Have you got you letter of no objection from Revenue first?

There are companies who do the newspaper advertisement for you. I used these guys a few years back. Cheaper than doing the ad directly yourself although likely others than are cheaper. For me it was just easier to ensure the format was correct to meet the requirements.

Hi, I appreciate your help and I will use these guys.
I'm fairly certain that I can save 100e and do it myself on CORE my only concern is I'm not sure about the letter from revenue I need.
If you know the process and how difficult it will be I'd really appreciate if you could tell me where to look.
Thanks

The letter from Revenue is easy. Just apply for it.

The hardest bit is getting the national newspaper advert at a reasonable price.

This must be the stupidest and most obsolete bureaucracy going.

Ok thanks, I'll try to get it sorted.
As for the ad, someone here recommended a company that charges 99e plus vat which seems like madness to be but I've nothing to compare that to

It's an absolute bargain compared to what newspapers will charge you for a standalone ad if you go directly to them.

Hi jbrana - I came across your post, and trying to close a company too :\ I was wondering if you found a sample statement for the "Resolution Text"? I've googled but didn't see anything, and also want to try to paying extra for the H15 filing, as i can do it on CORE myself. Would really appreciate any advice - tks
