Voluntary redundancy, can I become re-employed by company at a later date?

Hi,
I've taken voluntary redundancy from a company I worked with for over 7 years. I have a strong feeling they are about to secure a contract that would require the hiring of new staff. If I was still working with them I would probably be working on this contract. Are there any legal restrictions or clauses etc. to stop the company from rehiring me, should they want to?

No.............but for the copmany's sake, they should be able to provide a good argument for the rehire. You must also remember that it is a position that is made redundant - not a person. If I was them and they wanted to take you back, I would do it under a different job title
