Hello all,

My company has announced voluntary redundancies which I do not believe they will get sufficient numbers for. If this is the case, involuntary redundancies will follow.

I've searched on AAM, welfare.ie etc and I cannot find an answer to my query. Maybe someone can help. If voluntary redundancy is accepted are you entitled to Mortgage Interest Supplement? Or does this only apply to those in an involuntary redundancy situation? Thanks for your help.

Mortgage Interest Supplement is means-tested. Your savings, whether they were redundancy payments or not, as well as the household income will be assessed when deciding eligibility.
