Visa Claim back for holiday I couldn't go on.

I booked and paid in full a holiday with Click and Go for January gone, but due to work commitments we couldn't go.The total cost of the holiday was near 1000 euro but I used my mothers visa card to pay the deposit and sum of the balance.I paid the rest of the balance through my own visa debit.I do not have a visa card.

Can my mother claim back any money on this transaction do you know as all Visa cards are insured i believe?

Why should she be able to claim back money?

You bought a service, you didn't use it.

Credit cards and debit cards will do a charge back where the supplier does not deliver the service, but that is not the case here.

I think the OP refers to the limited travel insurance element of credit cards rather than charge back.

However, I wouldn't expect any insurance to cover cancellation due to work commitments.
