I find this unbelievably frustrating too, there is no need to allow access to anyone's medical data just that they allow you to submit a receipt for someone covered on your policy. If you have the receipt you already have the "data"!! I've unfortunately had a lot of reasons to submit claims to VHI in the last few years and I believe that it's no coincidence they make submitting claims as difficult as possible and will reject claims for the most spurious of reasons.
