Hi - Can anyone help. I hold a number of Verizon Communications shares as a result of the 'Return of Value' from Vodafone last year when they sold their stake in Verizon Wireless.
I managed to get the original Vodafone shares for free as part of an employee scheme. I also managed to get the Book Cost worked out for each of the elements (Cash, New Vodafone Shares, New Verizon Shares).
Question I have is: if I sell the Verizon Shares, am I liable to CGT?
