VAT Query

I just recently registered for VAT on ROS online services.
How do I know if I 'elected' or not?
Registration was with immediate effect.
Confirmation email states, 'reason for registration', will earn over threshold. It doesn't mention the word elect.

'reason for registration', will earn over threshold.

That's not an election, which is basically a voluntary registration when there is no obligation to register.
