VAT query on importing

I am opening a distribution business which will import beauty products from the UK and sell them on here.

What VAT implications are there in this case?

Can anyone give me some information or point me in the right direction?

If business is registered for VAT the UK supplier will supply products with 0% VAT.

Your business then self accounts for the Irish VAT on the import.

For further information the Revenue website is pretty good.
