VAT on goods sold outside EU

Hi,

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, I couldn't find it on my search.

I had a question on goods sold to customers outside of EU.

So if I am selling a good, say for instance a hat for €10. That price already includes VAT. Then delivery to USA is €2 (An Post).

That brings a total price of €12, which is what my customer in the USA pays.

My questions are as follows - when I am doing my VAT returns
1) Do I include 23% of €10 in my total VAT figure, seeing as it was automatically included in the price?
2) If so, do I just include the VAT on the €10, or VAT the total sale of €12?

If anyone could help, or point me in the direction of a thread I may have missed in my search that would be amazing!

Thanks so much
