Hi
Could anyone tell me what the VAT rate on the sale of antiques should be. Is it a reduced rate as they are second hand items (margin scheme) or are antiques (items over 100 years old) treated seperately ?
To add to complication I am going to be selling some of these items on ebay and many will go outside the EU , so is VAT chargeable to customers outside the EU , even though I will be paying VAT on items I buy to sell ?
I had a look at the revenue guidlines and I am still a bit confused
