Hi,
My wife and myself are thinking of setting up a B&B. Probably through Airbnb. Do we have to register for vat if we are going to earn over the Vat threshold limit?
Also, maybe this is a silly question (new to VAT), but would we each get a threshold limit, effectively letting us earn double the limit before VAT, or would the one limit apply to both of us. We normally file a tax return for a rental property and split the income, but I suspect this is different.
I can't find much online regarding registering for VAT as an Airbnb host, but it would make the whole thing a bit less feasible to be competitive.
