Using ESB statement as record for Accounts

I am doing accounts and rang the ESB to get copies of bills. I have been informed the ESB do not keep records beyond the previous 2 bills. They have informed me that they will send out a statement. Is it acceptable to use this statement in order to work out the light and hea charge for the year?

ESB statements

Under EU legislation any energy supplier is obliged to give costumers the bills for the last year .That is part of the new energy passport bill for buildings.So they should have them!
Sorry I can't help you with the tax legislation,but it does not sound logical to calculate the charges for a year on just 4 month of records,there different patterns of heat and energy use over the year.
