USC rates with medical card

USC query for a full medical card holder

Salary is 61k and therefore over the threshold for the reduced usc rate.

Is there anything that can be done to bring the salary back under the usc threshold?

Bike to work scheme ?
Pension?

Salary sacrifice such as bike to work or travel pass could work but bike to work limited to €1,000 afaik so if you're over 61k, it wouldn't be enough. Pension contributions aren't allowable against USC so that's no good.

Unpaid leave maybe?
