USB IrDa

I have a SigmaTel USB-Irda dongle, but I cant get it to work. I downloaded the driver from DriverGuide but no joy. Before i installed the driver, the device was flagges as 'not working'. After I installed the driver, this changed to ''working properly". I am running XP Home and using a Nokia 6230 phone. Any pointers ?

Did you not get a driver with the device when you bought it? What make and model?

The nokia phones are notorious for not working with IRDA. AFAIR you have to play around with the IRDA transfer speeds in control panel to get it to work (been a while since I had to do same).

Got a couple of drivers from the website and the first one worked with my wife's Nokia 6310, but no joy with my Nokia 6230, but I can back this up at work so no worries. Thanks for the steer guys.
