Hi
We are traveling to USA for xmas, with aerlingus and we booked last Feb...Our son is 11 years and we paid a child fare for him, but he will have his 12th birthday while we are away...do you think we'll have to pay extra for him on the return journey?
We did not think about this when we booked but are concerned now and wonder is there anyone that has had any experience with this...
Sould we call Aerlingus and pay the difference of a child/adult return fare or should we keep quiet and hope they dont notice?
What do you think?
Thanks

Check the terms & conditions of the booking agreement. If I recall correctly, with charter package holidays the individual must be under the relevant age on the day of return so maybe this also applies to return flights?

I wouldn't imagine you have anything to worry about. I found the following on the American Airlines website and I would expect that the same may apply - to give you peace of mind you could always make a general enquiry to Aer Lingus:

"The age of the child is based on age at commencement of travel."

Have a great trip!
