Uploading photos without original software?

Hi,

I'm away on business and brought my camera but the unfortunately the software that came with my camera is on my personal laptop rather than my work one which I have with me.

I was wondering if I could download drivers or software to allow me to copy the photos across in the absence of the original software?

The camera is a Canon Powershot A560

Any help would be much appreciated,

afaik you should be able to get drivers from Cannon's website.

A more straight forward way would be to just connect your camera to your laptop by usb cable (preferrable) or bluetooth and find your camera on the c: drive in my computer and open up the folder (s) and you should be able to drag n drop images onto your laptop.

Better still if your camera has a memory card and if you have a card reader then I would go that route.

What pudds said - your photos will usually be in the DCIM folder on the memory card

Darn -when I plug the cable from teh camera into teh PC I keep getting a message "USB Device Not Recognised" and can't locate the photos via the C drive.
