Those with Canon Powershot A450/460 and other models might be interested in CHDK. It apparently unlocks various features normally reserved for Canon SLR's. It seems it's just a matter of dropping a few files on the memory card and if you delete them the camera goes back to using it's normal firmware. (I might try it even though I have an unsupported A430)
