Universal childcare subsidy

Folks is there a way of making an application for the subsidy scheme without a public services card ? Do get a card you need to physically go into the welfare office which is a waste of a half day. You can’t seem to make an application without it

Hi they can send the application by post to you , had done it in covid and again for the renewal.

The welfare office were not taking appointments at the time so couldn’t go in to get the card.

Not sure if they have stopped doing it since lockdowns have stopped however I did it again for renewal at end of last year
