I'm a little confused on this whole tax thing as I've only been 2 weeks in the working industry, I'm living in Ireland, I am 17, (18 in 2 months), I have less than 40hrs per week, earining less than 300euro a week, how much tax can they take off me?

The short answer is none. You can try a tax calculator like this one:

http://services.deloitte.ie/tc/

If you are just a regular PAYE employee, then you can take all the default answers other than your income in part B. The results will show you that on an income of €15,000 the tax calculation @20% is €3,000. However, your combined personal and PAYE tax credits come to €3,300 so you will pay zero tax. Likewise the normal 4% employee Class A PRSI contribution is fully offset by a PRSI credit. There is a small amount of USC to pay, but in the main you will take home practically all of what you earn.
