Unable to pay mortgage for 2 years starting end of this year - what will happen?

Did you not think about this before deciding to quit your job and go to College?

That's helpful - from a mod too!!!!
I suggest you speak to your bank and see can you reach an amicable agreement on payments - they may not be too willing - but you will never know until you ask.

You need to get a loan to cover the 2 years mortgage payments. I don't know how keen banks are to gove loans for educational purposes these days but you can ask.

Thank you for all the replies.

I have written to the bank and we'll see what happens!

I would be amazed if they agree to no payments for 2 years.

Is it possible to do this course at night while also keeping your job?

Look I've paid my mortgage without fail for two consecutive months, now I need seven years off because I'm going to be a doctor to help people, like Harold Shipman.

Anyway I heard Anglo let Seanie off the hook for 7 million this weekend which is an order of magnitude more than I'll earn in my entire career, so I assume a few hundred k from me won't be missed either.

Fair is fair.

There are people out there genuinely struggling and are not being helped by banks.

It will be good to hear the outcome of the OP's request.
