Some certificate expired and they forgot to update it?
Happens lots with corporate sites but I would expect better from a financial institution.
Allowing non SSL access to normally SSL secured pages sounds like a potential security risk!

Email from Raisin a few minutes ago: We have noticed that it has been a while since you last logged in to your Raisin.ie Online Banking System for sometime.

I just tried to logon to raisin.ie again and it failed, and then it immediately displayed a pop-up asking how likely was I to recommend Raisin Bank to colleagues and friends, with a selection from 0 through to 10 - you can guess which end of the scale I selected.

Very interesting. Does anyone know a way to get this information to someone senior in Raisin?

I've logged into the German site as I received notification of a document in my inbox. I've sent a message through that messaging system and included a link to this thread.

Not sure it is even a certificate issue, could be simpler...disappointing they haven't fixed it within 24h. They likely do not care much about the .ie site.

Thank you

Yeah - would never happen with a regular bank...

At least I could visit the branch in person for the banks you have highlighted.

Where would you go when the Raisin site is down?

What is your concern here though? Raisin is not day to day banking, it's deposit for fixed terms. So a site outage (which happens to all banks) isn't even of the same urgency as with your day to day bank. No?

Well, the main concern for me is going all dark without any clear correspondence with your savings.
All other banks do notify its customers of outage including Revolut which is purely online.
What you say?

Have actually visited the few branch outlets of the traditional banks that are left in order to conduct business lately?
Of course, I visites branch last week only.

The reason why there was zero communication and zero European media attention was that 99% of Raisin users still had access to their accounts, it was just Irish users who did not have access via Raisin.ie (but did via Raisin.com) and Raisin management did not even know that an outage with one of their portals was ongoing.

I have found out a bit about what happened with this outage. Raisin management only became aware of the outage on Saturday. And fixed it very quickly once they were told. The outage was not cert related I am told.

Raisin agents seem to be answering emails and portal messages with a 2-3 day lag (based on my prior experience of contacting them) so they probably had not picked up on any of the Friday emails from Irish users about the outage.

The issues here really are the low number of agents looking after Ireland and the fact that their complaints section points towards a phone number that does not work (just gives a recorded message). I am told Raisin is apparently addressing staffing levels and the phone line.
