Ulster Bank Triple 1 Year Term Deposit Rate to 0.60%

Ulster Bank have increased their 1 year term deposit rate from 0.20% AER fixed to 0.60% AER fixed.

It is the highest 1 year rate on the market that does not require a current account. KBC pay 0.50% AER fixed without a current account and 0.75% AER fixed with a current account if you comply with bonus conditions.

With Rabo money floating around this might be of interest to some.

Handy! It was UB I was transferring the Rabo money to while I decided, save me the bother of moving it again.

"Maximum balance is €500,000 for terms less than 2 years and €1m for terms of 2 years or more" - UB.

I reckon they are trying to get their hands on some of the Rabo money. No sign that it's part of a general increase -- their two and three year rates are lower. Well, they'll probably be getting some of my money, much as it pains me to have to deal with them again.

Hi,

If you're an existing UB customer with online banking can you view the account online once you've opened it?
