UK National working as contractor in Ireland

Hi,

I have a friend, a UK national, coming over to live and work as an IT contrator in Ireland. She has heard that the most tax efficient method of working here would be for her to set up a limited company and receive a salary through this. Would this be the most efficient method and where could I find more information about this topic ? Are there any accountancy firms that specialize in this area ?

This is the way any IT contractor I know did this but I'm limited to about three or four. I don't know any accountants that specilize in this off hand but would suggest getting advice (professional) before proceeding.
 
UK in Ireland

I think that your friend would also only be taxed on the money actually remitted into Ireland, legitimately leaving the rest off-shore. I think that this would apply until at least tax resident in Ireland.
